Romano confirms Barca are in for Halaand, this after it was confirmed City are interested in buying him too.

How the hell are Barca going to afford him? Are they not in over €1bn worth of debt?

Anyway, seems like he's going to make a big more this summer, hopefully somewhere abroad. Halaand going to City would be bad news, they'd be a 90+ point team for the foreseeable imo.

Striker has been a weakness of theirs the last few years in my opinion. Aguero has kept up the numbers, but he hasnt been really special for a while now.

If Barca gets him that will probably speed up RM's pursuit of Mbappe and then they'll need fast money. That's the best case scenario.

If City is letting Aguero leave, does that indicate that they have high confidence of signing Haaland / Mbappe?

Nah, don’t see why there's be any connection. They'd need to replace him regardless of whether they're getting one of those two.

I agree - I meant that if you let a established goalscorer like Aguero leave even before the season is out, it perhaps indicates that some backroom discussions have happened with a potential replacement (especially given that otherwise City is walking into the season with Gabriel Jesus as their striker).

I mean his deal is coming to an end and he's about to turn 33, I think it was always well accepted that he was going to leave this summer regardless.

Would be an unreal signing, sky is the limit with him. At his age you have to expect inconsistency.
