Most of the supportive comments, at least in the media, have been anchored around hope he was respected as a coach at city and extrapolating that he could be a good manager. But for me that kind of comment has a shelf life became it was based on no data and what could maybe happen.
We now have 18 months of seeing what Arteta can do and I don't think there is anything that would corroborate that position.
I really can't think of a tangible attribute that Arteta has that would indicate that he has the skills to be a good manager.
Maybe his outward communication but what he says and what his team does are very different so that is pretty limited in how much you can point to that as a good thing.
