I think we’ve been playing good football since that Chelsea game in December.
Maybe in spurts, good football is very generous. Since then we won at Brighton and WBA, beat Newcastle in the FA Cup and got kicked out in embarrassing fashion at St Mary's. Goalless draws at home vs Palace and United. Our best performance came ironically in a loss at Molineux, not giving Arteta grief because that game was decided by the ref singlehandedly. Since February we've looked mostly shit, one of our worst performances in years at Villa Park, absolute poverty vs City the only good team we played in that whole run, decent win at a poor Leicester City then draws vs Burnley and West Ham where we looked dogshit again and somehow scraped through vs Benfica and Olympiakos.
Seven wins, four draws, three losses in the league plus out of the FA Cup. Neither performances nor results are anywhere near the level we should be expecting and demanding. Only way you can consider this decent is if you've accepted that we're a midtable team and that's before you look at the close to relegation level form we were in before.
