Has to go. We are wasting precious time persisting with him, and now we see that it’s not like top managers aren’t or weren’t available. Our attacking play is still so bad. Our midfield play is equally suspect. Tactically he’ll always be exposed by the top managers. So what has he done really? Got us out of Europe and is on track to maybe get us back into Europa league. Is this the sort of progress we should be looking at?
Like the top managers exposed him when we won the FA cup?
Since Dec last year look at our points tally v our rivals. That’s all you need to know.
I’ll engage.
Do you think Arteta is a great manager or an average to decent one? Because with the resources we have compared with the resources of our rivals who already have (or can afford) established, top tier managers, if he is merely average to decent or good, then we stand very little to no chance of winning shiny things in the near or distant future barring the odd, unlikely cup run.
Also, our football right now sucks the life out of me. Lord, it’s so bad. I feel like we are winning despite the manager, just based on the fact that we have more quality than 60-70% of the opposition. If it was the same group of players Emery had to deal with, especially across the defence, I’d be more inclined to be patient with him. But we’ve got quality talent and experience in most positions right now, and we still look like this almost halfway into the season? It’s just not good enough - regardless of which arbitrary points tally period you want to cherry pick to use to support him.
Has to go.
