IMO he's as much a victim of the system as he is of his own faults, and if anything the lack of a strong system in place has probably exposed & emphasised his weaknesses/faults.
Be that as it may the club needs to stop this comedy hour convenience approach to the football operations of the club, before they totally destroy 'the product' that generates the revenues they want to recover. We are too fixated upon the financials as a business enterprise, rather than the actual product the business is based upon.
As much as I want Arteta & Co replaced, I want the club priorities to change even more so as COVID has shown the fallacy regarding our sustainable self funding financial model, and the emphasis on match day revenues and ticket prices in particular. Since the stadium move we have marketed ourselves towards the casual/'tourist' match goer because they spend more than double per game than the supporters who look at attend as many games as possible.
The problem with that is the casual 'tourist' does not provide sustainable revenue as they go to few games each, so that over a full season it is actually the regular match going supporters who do provide more revenues per individual. The other issue with this strategy being that if we are not successful in terms of winning titles, and we do not play entertaining football so as to have a positive and enjoyable match going experience, then the product is not seen as providing 'value for money' for the casual/Tourist match goer, let alone the corporate boxes.
As such IMO since we are no longer in Europe the price of our tickets should be reduced accordingly, and another revue of pricing should be held in terms of the quality of our football as 'entertainment'. Please correct me if I am wrong , but to my knowledge our ticket prices have only been frozen at the same price they were when we were last in the UCL.
