Without exaggerating, we look completely bereft of ideas in midfield and going forward.
A “possession manager” who plays players who incompatible with executing his ideas, and shows no sign of adapting to what he has.
A front three who literally might as well not be on the pitch. Each of them looks like they are stranded on an island. No link up play, no running behind the defence, no swapping of positions, no dropping towards the “attacking midfielder 😆” to get a foothold of the ball, no nothing.
I really wanted to back him, and I thought he could bring about a fresh way of thinking at a club which even now, desperately needs it. Instead he ideas on football are either really poor, or he just can’t seem to get them to display it.
Either way, I think we need to think about a replacement very soon. We can’t afford to finish mid table while he wants more money and falls out with more players.
