Yeah lovely play, both are very bright at the moment
I like the look of the wingers. Looking dangerous
Mari is a very likeable player. Per vibes.

Ouch. It looks like a twisted ankle. It must hurt like a mofo, but as long as he didn't twist the knee he should be fine.

Yeah have had that vibe about him too.. Calming effect
Cedric's shot there 😆

AMN would have at least panenka'd it.
Excellent from Mari again.
The wingers and 10 are much more fluid than they were. Wasn't sure if it was just ESR, Saka, etc but I think it's tactical. Pepe, Willian and Nelson seem to have much more freedom to leave their area, interchange, etc
Mari so calm to start it off, El Neny works it brilliantly out of pressure, Willock with a nice position/turn of pace, and then Pepe lost in his world 😆
You get the sense that the defensive line is a bit straighter and less erratic with him on the pitch. The sample size isn't big to be fair, but it does feel like having Mertesacker in there like you say, with the added bonus that he's good enough individually to turn a forward if he has to.
Pepe has the most unstable ball control I've ever seen. 😆
Pepe has to sort out his brain. Looks so unfocused 80% of the time

Seems like it. CF feels isolated tho

😆 It's kinda endearing at this point. Opponents must be in constant fear when they're playing against him because they have no clue where the ball is gonna end up, or even if he meant for it to go there or not.
I think I'd trade Pepe for Gervinho at this point
Pepe 😆 his touch goes from shit to bergkamp
