I like this. He's versatile positionally, has goals and assists in him, PL proven.
Brilliant. We need more technical quality and even better when it comes with his toughness. This will be a great start to the summer.

This guy and Bissouma are the types of signings we should make. No Willians. He’s great because Arteta can use him in multiple places, and if Arteta leaves a new manager won’t struggle to reply him, Saka and co. No need to be married to a 4231, 433 or 343
Too short. Next.
Good start if we can get it done.
Buendia and Lokonga would make us very tough to press.

Better than odegaard?

He’s incredibly good on the ball. He will have worse passing numbers but that’s because he is very aggressive. Constantly looking to get his team into the box. I’m sure he does well on risk adjusted pass stats. I like that he’s constantly pushing his team into the box and is a goal threat himself.
If we are indeed going for him, question has to be, why the fuck didn't we go for him last summer when we could have got him cheaper...?
Muddled thinking then or desperation now?
Also, isn't Bell just parroting the Sun article?
Excellent news, hope it gets done. Klaus needs to connect with Edu on LinkedIn.
I hope Arteta leaves him to play as he is right now, otherwise in no time he will be a sideways passing robot.

Reminds me of Diaby.

Ok that’s good. Haven’t really seen Buendia play and little hesitant to get excited if he has only really proven it in the Championship but will trust your guys judgements.
Having said that, my choice is still the Norwegian. I was quite impressed with him overall and he finished the season strong. I think the West Ham performance was the best individual Arsenal performance since Auba in the cup final.

Prob because we were mainly after Aouar as our number one target and perhaps it was too late in the day to get Beundia. Don’t forget the Aouar saga lasted till almost the last day of the window.
We were also saddled with Ozil’s wages last summer

Certainly the way he advances is similar, but Lokonga seems to have an even better long pass.
Diaby’s through balls were sublime though.
https://www.caughtoffside.com/2021/06/03/offer-made-arsenal-bid-more-than-30m-to-sign-long-term-target/ says Norwich willing to sell but want 40m
https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/news/arsenal-aston-villa-make-formal-20738431 Villa have matched our offer?
We used to get into bidding wars for players with the likes of Real Madrid and Barca and then Spurs and Napoli and now with Aston Villa #fml
What next season, bidding wars with bloody Brentford??
I actually lol’d. Tis what titis.
I’m actually proud of us. This is better value than £70m Pépé after a summer of fighting off Napoli, Bayern, and Liverpool
