The worry is this is another Suarez/Huiguain scenario where we pass up on someone lower down on the shortlist hoping to sign our first choice, only to miss out on both.
Yes, and we know there are only so many options, PL proven, who will be willing to come to a side without European football who can immediately come in and make a difference.

Only Brandt in the same mould. We need a creative player and a midfielder. I thought it was Buendia/ Ødegaard and a midfielder to challenge/ replace Xhaka.
We really need to find a gem who has gone unnoticed as unlikely as that is. We were doing that before it became fashionable for the Leicesters of the world.
Brandt is not at the same level IMO.
