Some bad news in that tweet, but on the upside it doesn't look like we have any new injuries or absences. Saka is available, according to Arteta, after hobbling off against Brighton, although it sounded like he might not start him ("He has played a lot of minutes as well"). Partey and Gabriel are the only players that we're missing. Nelson should be available too but unsure if he'll make the match day squad.

Bit of a footnote, but for all of Allardyce's bragging about how he likes playing against us, Man United and City are the only two teams he has lost to more often in his entire career. I'm sure some harebrained pundit is going to bring up the point that "Big Sam knows how to beat Arsenal" and it's not going to be more true tomorrow than it's been for the last two decades.

I always find it funny when people bring that up considering they've only every beaten us like 3 times in total. Guess it makes for a nice headline though to make it seem like they're our boogyman.

Edit:

He's won 6 out of 34 against us losing 20 games. Only City have beaten him 20 times and they've lost the same amount. United have lost only 3 times to them but won only 18.

I agree with goon. We should rest Martinelli. We should have more than enough to beat Big Sam and his lot regardless.

I'd say rest both Marty and Saka initially, start Pepe with the other two. Gonna need Smith-Rowe (or at least Maitland-Niles) from start in midfield in that case though. We need a bit of drive.

None of them were 90 minute appearances (49,71,66). If I was Arteta, not sure I would have a choice.

We have to be winning this again given how poor we've been. West brom have been pretty awful at the back for the most part. This shouldn't turn into another grind fest.

This feels like you’re planting a stick to beat Arteta with later on.

Liverpool, City, United and Spurs all failed to score more than a goal against them, two of them ended up drawing. The only team who scored 3 were Chelsea and that’s because they ended up 3-0 down.

A grind is exactly what I’m expecting.

WBA has been impressive under Bilic in terms of performances. Think we will draw here

I recall watching them outplay city or Liverpool for 60 minutes but end up losing, among other strong performances. they're not total rubbish despite what their league position suggests
