I don't see how us taking a beating will improve our approach next matches vs the big teams. If anything they'd get even more conservative. Giving a mid-table team a thorough tonking is what we need.

Anyone would take a win, but I don't think we're more likely to get one by playing ugly and defensively, especially after Leicester just showed what could happen when you press them from the front instead of obsessing over how you're going to cope with their pressure. I'm not sure why we should go with the Leicester template when we have a system that has Arsenal finally getting results against the top teams. Once it's been found out, we can continue to evolve but otherwise you're just tinkering.

I like Auba being at point with Pepe on the right and Willian on the left (he lacks the legs to be a right winger now).

Obviously would prefer Saka at LW though, but he'll take up that LW/LCM role in transition and attack.

Surprising that Luiz is benched, but it's good Arteta is showing faith in the long term players.

Love that line up. Luiz out and Aubameyang in the middle. Very little to not like, Partey aside. Only need to see if it's a back 5 or Arteta has decided to really go for it.

Is it 3-4-3 with Saka LWB or 4-2-3-1 with Willian #10? Our formations so fluid you can never really tell.

Good point, I guess it depends on how the game pans out - it's interesting we actually have a system like this now. It's been every man for himself for far too long.

Feel like Holding sticks out so much in these formations.

Otherwise, I'm a bit less excited than others by this. It's the perfect game for AMN and Auba isn't the best at holding the ball up. Pepe/Willian on the left against Walker isn't something I see either coming out on top of. Also, Partey would've been a dream to see. But those are the criticisms in what is otherwise a fairly exciting lineup.
