IIRC the domestic requirement for footballers in ENG is 7 days self isolation unless they are positive or symptomatic?
Thiago was positive but only missed 1(?) week and no other players from LFC had to go into isolation.

To make that worse there is no consistency as to isolation criteria for the players, and much is based upon the domestic COVID testing capability of their national body rather than where they are actually employed.

It's all done just to honour TV contracts. There is no logical reason to keep removing players from their domestic bubbles to roam around and expand their circles of contact over and over.

Not the same in terms of quality, but I wonder if we will make further approaches in Jan for one of Aouar and/or Jorginho.
I think we could get both as IMO both clubs will be struggling in Jan, and I would want to get Aouar before they sell Depay, and Jorginho comes with the added benefit of further weakening CFC for this season.

Owen Hargreaves was gushing about Partey’s first start, calling it one of the best debuts he has ever seen. And the guy was even better today. Some of the runs on and the off the ball he put in were marvelous. And a couple of times he lost the ball and immediately recovered it with those commanding standing challenges that allow him to transition immediately. Strong and commanding. How we’ve missed this over the years. He’s already looking like one of the finest midfielders in the league. Glad Edu pushed for this and rescued him from El Cholo
