Dortmund equalise! Well deserved, they have been the better team in the 2nd half

City have been absolutely dominant.

Bellingham is a grand player. Unreal at this age he is able to more than hold his own against the City mids. Probably nail on to make the England Euro squad.

Modric is still fantastic too at this age.

To be fair, Kroos just turned 31. He has a few years left at a top level club.

Yep. Modric is one of a kind. The best CM by a long mile this decade.

Absolutely. Odegaard has ways to go still. Modric/Kroos are just too smooth. If I were Odegaard, I'd be worried about my chances of making at Real. He needs to develop a higher gear of consistency before he should be starting for them.

Casemiro has been impressive. Breaking up play, reminds me of Gilberto.

I think Klopp is to blame for this. His decision to start Kita (and not start Firminho) went as hilariously wrong as you would have expected it to. As big a miscalculation as Arteta starting Ceballos against Liverpool a few days ago. They had no midfield, and by the time bland boy Thiago came on it was already too late. Bad as he's been this season they need someone like him when they fail to press the opposition.

Real was great to watch though. As soon as they freed up the ball they just played it in-behind Liverpool's defence through the channel between the fullback and the centreback, and Liverpool had no response. I don't know why Pool didn't stop playing such a high line. It reminded me a bit of the Villa game where they just kept pushing up when it was obvious that things weren't working. Klopp doesn't seem to have a backup plan when things go wrong. The margin should have been bigger in Real's favour tonight.

Vinicius is quickly turning into my favourite non-Arsenal player too. Ronaldo levels (the original, better one) from him tonight.

You’ve gone a long time without watching Il Fenomeno.

Poor Trent seemed to be in the wrong place or setting up the opponent on all the goals. Southgate will feel vindicated tonight

Only thing dominant in that game was the ref. That call on Ederson was outrageously bad

England have a ridiculous amount of talent coming through. Not entirely sure on Bellingham though.

So explosive.

Vinicius is top class. Was funny to watch how he'd do all the hard stuff in the last two seasons flawlessly, dribble past four defenders only for his finish to look like a pass to the corner flag. Always looked like a mental issue if this is him fixing it for good Madrid will be set for the next ten years

He’s still a kid. People often forget that he only turns 21 in the summer. The talent is unmistakable. It’s just putting it all together consistently.

Damaged goods. Remember that summer where he scored like six screamers vs Barcelona within like two months, seems ages ago. Tore his ACL and meniscus that was him as a world class talent done

It was 3 goals in 3 games. And he was a massive prospect at the time. That ACL injury was a big setback. He was out almost a year. Lost a season the way Martinelli has basically. But he’s quality.

Dules, it’s Asensio and Modric keeping Odegaard out of the Madrid team. One of them will be there for at least another 5 years.

That’s the same Trent we let have his way with us. We really are a fucking joke.

Real and Dortmund showed City and Pool no respect. We showed both teams too much respect. They’re vulnerable. They can concede goals if pressured. I don’t know if it’s our DNA or manager’s instructions. But it’s not good. This shit will make me follow Brighton soon

That's my perspective Claudius. It seems like we are set up in these matches totally worrying about the position with no plan to do anything against them and happy to get a one or two goal defeat.

Not just the teams tonight but plenty of other club's in the premiership have shown more ambition in some of their fixtures against them.

He had some crazy goals back then, I don't think he's done anything like this post injury? 🙁

He likes playing 3 in the middle so Odegaard would need to adapt.

R.Madrid showed how hard it is to press when you have players comfortable on the ball. Against us Liverpool targeted our better players as the rest weren't gonna do shit. Tactic didn't work so well against Madrid but the Madrid players were on it as well. Even when 3-1 they were looking for the 4th, you could imagine our lot if we went 1-0 up Arteta would have the whole fucking team in the penalty box!

This is it. Just seeing Kroos, Thiago and Modric in the same frame. We haven’t had ball players like that since Cazorla and on that level since Fabregas. Fabregas left Arsenal TEN years ago.

You seem to have a different attitude after yesterday's match since when you thought they needed to get rid of Zidane since he selfishly preferred the old boys over Ødegaard.

And I don't think anything Thiago has done since signing for Liverpool justifies calling him a level above Cazorla by the way.

That was fast. 0-1 PSG

Thiago is just a level above Cazorla. It is what it is.

On Zidane, Real have invested in a lot of young players. So guys like Ceballos, Odegaard, Vinny Jr etc. The plan was to pay 20-40m for younger players and avoid the £100m auctions for galacticos. But if you watch Real, you know that the team is firmly built around Ramos, Kroos, Modric and Benzema. That’s 31, 33, 35, 35. Fortunately, all 4 are amongst the best players of the past decade, but in the medium term that is not sustainable.

Bayern tried to do that offside trap there lol that didn’t work well.

I’m surprised it snows this much in Germany at this point during the year?

Lol. 2-0. Kind of game I can enjoy where at least one villain will end up unhappy

It should be hard for the tottenham's fans to see Poch doing so well, while they are stucked with Mourinho

Goal from the Stoke reject!

Started snowing again yesterday, after we had 20 degrees and sunshine the week prior. Fucking weird.

Good to see Bayern lose, although as I'm writing this Choupo-Moting scores, hope PSG get another two or three and put the tie to bed.

Quality goal from a quality player. Wenger tried to chat him up back in the day 🙁

Mbappe is elite.

Who would City play in the semi should they get through?

hope mbappe is okay, he was limping at the end of the match.
