What is the bullshit high and mighty/moral superiority attitude in the continental European football media ?

My comments are coming after reading the frankly ridiculous pieces criticizing Lewandowski after he decided to a rabona kick to assist Muller's goal.

Somehow the journos have decided that it was immoral and unsporting of him to do that as Bayern were already comfortably winning that match and belittling the Schalke team.

I have seen several similar pieces from Italy after Atalanta were destroying teams by 6-7 goals last season. The tone was that Gasperini was reveling the opponents misery and should have taken the foot off the gas after 3-0 or so.

Maybe someone like Jones can enlighten me.

Any particular website or piece of news you have in mind? Haven't seen anything to the tune of what you're saying.

German media was as usual full of praise for Bayern, the more "critical" articles were about how it's getting stale how good Bayern are. Mรผller the ugly rat fuck gave an interview talking about how normally he doesn't talk about the opposition (he always does especially when he loses) but he was really surprised how easy it was to get past Schalke. I swear to God Germans are the most graceless people on earth.

Cheers. Honestly that's the first I heard about it and a quick search of the Internet yields no other results with similar articles so I'd say it's a fringe opinion.

You might know that I really don't need a whole lot of reason to tear into Bayern or their players but in this case that claim reads like a load of bollocks. It might have been a bit showboaty but it was a perfectly fine piece of skill and definitely not over the top. Over the top is dickheads like Firmino scoring a no look goal when the ball is inches from the goal line or the US women's team who celebrated their 11th goal like it was their first, not a situation like this

Big game in Bundesliga this weekend is Lverkusen vs Leipzig.

Its currently 1-1 with 20ish minutes gone and a very open and entertaining matchup so far.

Forsberg scored for Leipzig while Demirbay equalized for Leverkusen.

Schalke have sacked David Wagner after yesterday 3-1 loss against Bremen.

They were on an awful run under him since January (winless in 19 or 20 games) and it was only a matter of when he would get sacked.

Bayern are being brought down to earth today against Hoffenheim. They are 3-1 down with 10 mins left.

Interestingly, Hoffenheim are managed by Sebastian Hoeness (son of Dieter and nephew of Uli, both Bayern legends).

Quick edit - 4-1 now as Kramaric converted from the spot in injury time.

Haaland is very good. We may have a challenger to Lewandowski for the golden boot here.

Gio Reyna has also been good tonight. Has assisted all the goals as Dortmund are leading Freiburg by 3-0.

Very entertaining game between Bayern and Hertha Berlin today. Finished 4-3 to Bayern today.

Lewandowski bailed them out with a four goal performance.

Bayern defense was very shaky again today very similar to last week's loss at Hoffenheim.

Come on jones. What was that?

The kid who scored the fifth barely has a pube hair.

Lol. Another English kid whoโ€™s run off to make his mark in the Bundesliga. Nicked from Chelsea.

Bayern have confirmed that they will not offer Alaba a new contract with the salary that he has demanded. (He wants 20 million โ‚ฌ per year after taxes).

Wonder which of the cash rich English clubs will sign him for free in January then.

Alssane Plea with an absolute stormer of a half. 3-0 to Gladbach already away to Shakhtar.

Marco Rose still doing very well.

Jota gives Liverpool the early lead in Bergamo. He is on a run in last few games.

Atalanta has no answers at all to Liverpool's attack. So one sided. Didn't expect this

Seriously? Atalanta are kind of fun, but they're a crap team. The love they get is typical hipster nonsense.

Entertaining game so far between Dortmund and Bayern.

Reus had given Dortmund the lead but Alaba equalized just before the HT with a free kick.

And Lewandowski inevitably has scored at the beginning of the second half. 1-2.

Dortmund missed too many chances. Should be easily leading this

That's outrageous

Dunno what country you're in Bryant but the link isn't working in the UK. Tried a VPN and it doesn't even work in Germany which is strange considering it's a clip from the Bundesliga. After seeing it work for Clrnc (who was in Singapore I think) I tried Hong Kong and it finally worked for me.

Great goal.

For those who can't see it on youtube, here is the clip:

Jones you know anything about Youssoufa Moukoko? Everyone has been hyping him up. Dortmund fans say he is even better than Haaland at a young age.

Folks have been talking about him like he will be even bigger than that boy Reyna. Who has been good. I wish we'd taken a look at Reyna early. Mentioned him a while back. He's been headed for stardom.

Haaland just won the Golden Boy award. Probably not a bigger talent than Fati, but still deserved since he's delivered pretty much all year.

I agree he deserved it. No kid delivered like him. I think he's scored 18 goals in 20 Bundesliga games since he moved in January. Something ridiculous like that. Only guys like Lewa, Ronaldo and Messi manage stats like that.

Haaland will probably break tons of goalscoring records. He is doing what Lewa is doing now but at a much younger age. Unreal everyone thought he was just lucky in a lousy league before really rating him after his Dortmund move.

He's been pulverising every domestic goalscoring record since he's like 11. Played for Dortmund's and Germany's U16s at 12, for their U19s at age 14, appeared and scored in UEFA Youth League (U19s) at 14 too and scored something between 1.5 to 2 goals per game in every one of his seasons. This season he was pulled up to their reserves, played in three games and scored four goals in one and hat tricks each in the other two. Dortmund motioned back in April to have the rules changed to allow him to play professional football when he turns 16 which he did yesterday.

Can't think of any player ever who had that profile at academy level, forget Haaland not even Lukaku or Messi were talked about like him. Really interested to see how he turns out because while he has a very good physique (still, he was 12 playing 16 year olds) his anticipation and finishing are what set him apart.

Just a rare combination of raw physical talent, great movement off the ball and clinical finishing.

Celebrated his Golden Boy award with four goals today. ๐Ÿ˜†

Good weekend in Bundesliga for Bayern.

Bayern won a tough away game by 3-1 at Stuttgart. Stuttgart gave a very good account of themselves but ultimately Bayern's individual quality pulled them through.

Dortmund were disappointing and choked again as they lost at home against relegation candidates Koln.
Haaland uncharacteristically missed a sitter at the death which would earned Dortmund a point.

Leipzig won vs Bielefeld with Angelino again looking very impressive.
Sorloth's form will be a big concern for Nagelsmann as it seems like he cant buy a goal at the moment after his big money move from Palace/Trabzonspor.

Max Kruse gets my early vote for signing of the season in Bundesliga ahead of more eye catching/popular arrivals.

He is a moody git with a fair share of off field problems in the past but he has been superb for Union Berlin after arriving on a free transfer.

This Bayern v Leipzig game is pretty good. 2-2 so far. Some decent goals from the young talent on display. Musiala and Kluivert jr

Heโ€™s always quality when I see him. And only just turned 18. The movement and decisiveness of that finish. Super.

Gio Reyna: the next great American talent?

Which was the last one? ๐Ÿ˜†

He was good yesterday, caused most problems to our defence from their frontline. Moukoko looked really threatening too when he came on

Not the best goal in the game though: https://streamye.com/vkayf

Wow. You're right. Are we talking Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan here? That was 20 years ago and I mean..

Speaking of American players, I'm a fan of Weston McKennie, currently on loan at Juventus. He's maybe not as flashy as some of his peers but I think he'll be the backbone of the US national team for the next decade. Very mature and hardworking player, reminds me a bit of Saka in the sense that he could probably adapt to most positions on the field. My kind of footballer. He's been slept on in European football, perhaps because of his passport, and if he carries on like this he will be worth twice as much as the โ‚ฌ20 million option Juve has on him at the end of the season.

Yeah, Moukoko looks like someone to watch out for and I think I mentioned him once. Has a crazy goal record in youth football.

When youโ€™re just a kid and they change rules just so you can play, youโ€™re special.  ๐Ÿ™‚
