United get Grenada. Come on Soldado.
We've got Slavia Prague! Nice.
Prague, nice!
Semi final draw:
United/Grenda vs Ajax/Roma
Arsenal/Slavia vs Villareal/Dinamo
Excellent.
Perfect draw, we should absolutely make the final now.

The first red card was a terrible incident, the Slavia goalie took a high boot right to the face studs first. Two large gashes on his cheek and forehead needed stitches at hospital. Pictures are out there for anyone who wants to see.
The big talking point of the game was an alleged racist comment by a Slavia player directed towards Glen Kamara. There are now allegations this player was attacked in the tunnel and Slavia had to call police to leave Ibrox.

The first red card wasn't a terrible incident it was a disgusting foul. Roofe saw the goalie running out initially and still had his foot that high he didn't even pull back in the last second. Even worse when he was sent off he had the cheek to complain to the ref. Hope he gets a very long ban.
Don’t disagree with any of that. I’ve no doubt there will be a long ban for it.
If we face Utd in the final wont we face the same issue we had against Chelsea in 2019? One team already qualified for CL and the other isnt. Would be massive more pressure on us. Anyway lets get there first.
Huge bonus in that draw for us. Still fear our own flakiness more than the opposition. I think Arteta would get the team up for the final, but I’m hugely concerned about their focus in getting us there.
We've had United's number for the last few years, especially under Ole. I think it would be great facing them in a final all things considered. Pogba is the only player to fear in their team.
Glad we avoided Man Utd but we need to get to the final before we start thinking about it. I wouldn't underestimate any of the teams on our side of the draw and hope the players don't either.

Not sure about in the final but otherwise totally agree. We've been the more talented and better team for a number years now in my opinion. They were playing the worst quality of football I've seen from a top flight side, probably ever. Look a bit more cohesive and purposeful with Ferndandes but still so so poor.
Terrified of Emery but it's a very good draw.

Wtf this is absolute gold
His social media team didn't even bother to check because it's Dinamo. there's no way they were going to lose

What do majority of the Rangers fans think about it?
I saw the clip on social media and the comments were filled with how the ref made an error and it was accidental, they didn't think it was even worth a yellow. Was bewildered by that
Well they are Rangers fans
Good draw but given the choice would prefer to play United before the final as think over 2 legs we stand a better chance than a one off match where anything can happen.

I think that element of things was way overstated. They were already in the CL because they were better than us and they beat us for the same reason. If we face United that will be our problem again, however they haven't been able to beat us this season so we'll see. Got to get there first anyway.

Were there any players from Slavia that stood out on the pitch, Tam? Anyone who could end up causing trouble against us?

That seems an exaggeration to say comments were filled with those downplaying it. I haven’t seen that, nor heard of that view from those I know. Seems to range from a few on social media saying what you’ve seen at one extreme, to those at the other end who think Roofe was cowardly for not going for it with his head instead of his foot. Plenty of condemnation of it. It was an outrageous challenge but I don’t think he seen the keeper until late. I’m not justifying it in anyway but I’ve seen a few comments around how it was premeditated or whatever, but I’m pretty sure that’s not the case. It was a reckless and dangerous attempt, and he should have known the keeper would be coming even if he never seen him. He’ll be banned an rightly so. Shame for the keeper.

I don’t think they have anyone we need to overly worry about. Stanciu looks decent technically and scored a good free kick last night. McGregor has been in great form, had an outstanding save in the first leg but you’d maybe question his positioning on the free kick. Good take by Stanciu in any case.
Olayinka looks decent and Sima is a tricky dribbler. They weren’t the most capable in the final third as a team though. Certainly nothing I’d be worried about from them. I don’t think they pose us much of a threat if we turn up in form.

Not only has the draw been kind but it also dovetails nicely with the PL fixture list for the remaining games in both comps.

Agreed.
So far as getting there IMO much will depend if Arteta picks the team based upon form over reputation as such = the players who are getting the job done as opposed to those who have the bigger reputations/capability.

TBH I'm not so confident MU will make the Final as I expect them to drop the ball tactically in at least 1 game.

I don't think Arteta would allow any complacency, & the focus should be upon reaching the EL Final after we play LFC in the PL.
The Slavia Praha hooligans are not even trying to hide their racism.
Not exactly the first time either.
Can't wait to smash these wankers.
Yeah scum. A few of the other Rangers players have received racist abuse on social media too.
Why I’ve never traveled to Prague as beautiful as the city is. Lots of Eastern Europe is a no go zone for Claude
Claudius wrote:Why I’ve never traveled to Prague as beautiful as the city is. Lots of Eastern Europe is a no go zone for Claude
A small minority mate, shouldnt stop you from travelling.
I have a good friend who is black and lives in Poland of all places and does not get any bother (touch wood).
You get idiots everywhere.
Lol, he wouldn’t tell you. You’d just tell him to man up or something.
Lol. I remember back in the day I used to bring up racist incidents with friends in college in the states and they would say, maybe it’s something else. It’s hard to understand these things. I can’t imagine Islamaphobia until i have lived in a Muslim’s shoes.
Flo. Being a black man is crazy. Whenever I visit western Europe and get on a bus, I immediately wake up to the body language. How people suddenly clutch belongings when I’m in the vicinity. And you’re like there is nothing outwardly threatening about me other than the fact that to these folks black is synonymous with danger. I have no interest in finding out what awaits me in Prague. I’ll go on a group trip if anything.
I have the same reluctance Claud. Nothing needs to happen either, it doesn't have to be dangerous, I just wouldn't feel comfortable, same goes for the States or at least parts of it. Hell you only have to travel a little way out of London and the whole vibe changes. Hopefully that changes in future.
FWIW a friend of mine (South Asian) went there and had no issues, on the other hand a colleague (Ginger) went there and got knocked out for no reason that he could gather.
goon wrote:Hell you only have to travel a little way out of London and the whole vibe changes.
I visited the Peaks not long before lockdown and I couldn't get over how different the vibe was to London and other cities I've visited in England and Britain generally. It was a lot whiter, which I expected but not to that extent. In fact there were very few foreigners in general.
Anyone going to watch Europa final tomorrow?
Im still bitter about not getting to the final. Really want Villareal to win but just cant see it.
Claudius wrote:Why I’ve never traveled to Prague as beautiful as the city is. Lots of Eastern Europe is a no go zone for Claude
i don't fuck with most of europe. now if i could walk around with my gun (or guns), no where on this earth would be a no go zone for me. just give me a full clip and i'd walk right in front of them with that nigger sign and say what's up my white friends with a big old shit eating grin on my face. see if they really are about this life. so empowering.
We really should have been in this final. So annoyed.

Bet you had a big old shit eating grin typing this nonsense. You're not tough because you have a gun, what's the difference between you and a little girl with one?
Meatwad sounds like the reason people shouldn't walk around with guns.
