I'd have him in contention for MOTM. He was really good all game, even in the first half when we were really poor at times. Warrior. Plays wth such maturity now.

He pretty much didn't put a foot wrong the entire game. One of the few players that wasn't below par in the first half either.

Plays his role to perfection at the moment. Shows excellent positional awareness and creativity with his movement.

What a turnaround. Took me from absolutely hating his guts and not wanting to catch a sight of him to absolutely loving him. Unbelievable. Long may this current Xhaka continue!

He's so crucial to our play now, because he covers for Zinchenko so much at LB and has a good chemistry with Gabriel on whoever is covering.

Other than Nketiah, Xhaka's improvement is probably the 2nd biggest credit for Arteta.

While I've perhaps not been as vocal in the past as some others on here for hating on Xhaka, I was definitely guilty of it. Fair fucks to him though, he's properly turned it around.

I think we've all had a go at him at various points to be fair. I did think clamour to get him out of the club completely was guided more by feeling towards him than his actual value because I thought objectively he was a good squad player... but I didn't see his transformation this season coming at all.

You have to hand it to him, the guy has slotted into CB and LB in the past and did a good job. As much credit as Arteta deserves it's a credit to his own footballing intelligence.

He's basically been our most consistent player for 2 and a half seasons now (I would say since his mistake away at Burnley), but you're all more than welcome to take your pews and bibles. Drinks available in the hall afterwards.

The turn around has been incredible from Xhaka. The 22/23 version is like a player from an alternate dimension. Kudos to him and Arteta.

I have no doubts that Havertz is going to be capable of, at the very least, replicating what Xhaka provided offensively this term. Xhaka is a player who was converted into this role. Kai is a player who was chosen for this role. It's more in tune with his natural instincts - He'll thrive here.

Yep. He redeemed himself with the fans big time. Played a big role for us last season. But he is rounding the wrong end of his career and he will never be better for us than he was last season.

Thanks for your time with us Granit. We will remember you fondly (mostly. lol).
