People are carrying way too much baggage. Just let it go. He's improved a lot and I agree that his best years are still ahead of him.
He's been good for well over a year now. It's just that people hold him up to a much higher and different standard because of his past transgressions.
The Xhaka-Partey has been an excellent foundation for the team and I'd love to see a stat on how many games we've won with the two because I bet it's very high.
People are quick to point out that Partey is the man holding the midfield together given the drop when he's out but it takes two to make a duo and Xhaka has always been fit, so we've rarely had to see how the midfield functions without him, i.e. Partey plus one.
