He's got 1 year left on his contract though. Hopefully he signs the ting, is a decent back up for a couple of years and we flip him for x5 at least.

Problem is clubs will be free to negotiate with him in 3 months on a freebie and I wouldn't count on the compensation scheme giving us much.

Partey, Aouar, Willian and Gabriel for a net spend of £40m odd would be sensational business considering we'd not have lost any regular first XI player.

If it's a loan deal, it means he has signed a new contract here, right? He has 1 year left, he won't go on loan if he we don't extend. Anyway, thats a great move for him, from the under23 straight to the PL.
