Like I mentioned there was a rumour going around on social media about a particular 19 year old when this story broke. The "in his 20s" part didn't quite fit, but it's also possible they didn't specify he was yet to turn 20 because everyone would have known who he was straight away, seeing as there's only one bloke in the region who fits that profile.

Like Qwiss says it doesn't appear to be him though. The French player from a different team in the same city seems more likely seeing as he's 26, and a quick googling tells me he actually lives in Cheshire.

I'm not on twitter or whatever so haven't heard any rumours so I don't know who this only person in the region who fits the profile. Nor have I even heard of this frenchman. I don't even get the vaugueness in these posts on here? Why don't we just say who the rumours are about?

Fine we are talking about Greenwood. I don't think its him though because the papers said "in his 20's". However he was dropped and missing from training around the same time, TBF thats probably what created the rumour it was him. Other rumour I heard was Mendy but with zero evidence. There was a load of shit going around about Greenwood with pictures of the 17 year old girl, etc Until the girl in pic said "eh its not me and I'm 26".

So basically its just Whatsapp rumours.

Yeah Mendy was the other one I heard too, and he lives in Cheshire where the arrest took place. I didn't want to mention any names because British laws are a bit ridiculous and I'm not sure where Pepe is hosting the forum, but maybe the risk is fairly low of getting suspended when it comes to a place like OMIT.

Even if the laws say people accusing X or Y are subject to legal prosecution, I doubt that applies to a forum or discussion space like this that's internal.

We are discussing between ourselves on here. It's speculation rather than accusations published by us in the media.

A lot of talk now of the 5 subs coming back. Gotta think that would suit us.

They should let teams put 12 players on the bench too in that case. I think that would benefit guys like Willock and Nelson even more. Right now they're losing out to players who are mostly in the match-day squads in case someone gets injured.

Players to cover injuries and players just there because Arteta doesn't want to offend them or cause a scandal. Willock was the obvious beneficiary the last time we had 5 subs so I could see him being the same now. Especially with his form, genuinely could play himself into the team.

The way Arteta has been getting around the 5 subs rule is by having Willock and friends get as much time as possible in a segmented team on Thursday. And there is a bit of benefit. It might not be against premier opposition, but 1) we do get to see Willock and co frequently, and 2) we get some rest for Aubameyang and friends. So we get the benefits of guaranteed minutes for our kids and don't overwork the key players at a time that a lot of clubs are suffering big injuries.

I think they'd just get more playing time. It's not like they wouldn't start anymore in the cups if they got a few more sub appearances in the league.
