I don’t watch much Newcastle, but for all the praise Willock gets on here it's a bit Odd that he's been on the bench for the last three matches playing for a 17th placed team desperate for points.

He's been good for them, I think he's just been the victim of players returning from injuries.

Willock's knack for scoring goals from midfield without needing to have a ton of the ball in the attacking half is very similar to Ramsey. It's incredibly hard to defend against those third man unmarked runs. He tends to pop up where it's least convenient for the defender. His technical and athletic levels are already good but this is the attribute that is going to secure him a good Premier League career.

Seeing him right now is a bit like watching Ramsey break through in 2009. Not quite the same levels, but Willock matured a little later. The trajectory of his curve feels similar.

Agree, I get Ramsey vibes from him as well. Definitely needs another loan next season to keep progressing and then we can assess things from there.

Here’s the thing with Willock. His ability to pop up in good goal scoring positions, ESR has that. And ESR is able to finish with both feet. And then do all the other build up stuff we love him for. Attacking players need to be superb. No half measures. ESR is superb. That’s the standard we have to build our attack out with.

If Steven Bruce really thinks Willock is a guy to build a team around, then he should maybe start him. And buy him.

Only just watched the Everton and Spurs game today. Those were 2 upper crust finishes by Kane. He will easily win the golden boot. Makes you wonder why a striker so talented needs to have that dangerous cheating in his game

Heh, I remember when I used to say he was world class and folks would laugh it off just because he’s a Tott. Outside the dirt, he is what we (I) wish Laca/Auba could be as a striker. Arguably the most complete center forward in the game. If he’s wise this would be his last season at Tottenham.
