They are not playing the game week before we face them (however there is an international break after that). The mid-week after we play them they have CL first leg though.

Agree. Here’s what I find interesting about it. It looks like he got to Chelsea and found

large squad but trouble finding the right complementary combinations of forwards
not a large group of CMs
somewhat shaky defense that was leaking silly goals.

So he chose to stabilise the team by building from the back with a 343. 343 helps because it is balanced and keeps you protected. He’s keeping his games to low scoring affairs.

I don't think they look much better than early season Chelsea. Bear in mind they were 2 points off the top after 11 games. I said after they beat Leeds that they look like potential title challengers. Things just went very wrong for Lampard very quickly, and he was quite unlucky in a few games.

But they're a good side with good players.

Probably not given the increasing inequality in the league. They’re down about 35 off last year. 😆

Nope, points-wise it's the biggest drop of all time. Not even Leicester the season they nearly got relegated were this much off their title-winning season. Of course they didn't get 99 points when they won the league, but still.

It's just funny that this happens to Liverpool of all clubs. First they were going to break the invincibles season (Watford put a stop to that), then they were going to break City's 100 point season (we put a stop to that). Ultimately they ended up being the corona champions, celebrating in front of no audience after a disjointed season that got stopped for so long that it would have been better off being scrapped altogether. This season they're the worst defending champions of all time and get beaten 2-7 by teams like Aston Villa. This will always taint their reputation, and rightly so. Jumped up scousers walking around thinking they're the biggest team in Europe 😆

Chelsea are 7-3-0 under Tuchel.
This is the problem with all these wishes that we are going to finish in the top 4. There are too many teams between us and the target. And they can pull runs like that. We are down to 11 games with. Chelsea basically need to lose a third of their games with us unbeaten in order for us to catch them. And then there’s the other other teams in between.
Time for folks to adjust expectations. For 2 reasons: eases your disappointment, but also stops you from unjustly saying the team threw away top 4 in a few weeks

Yep I think top 4 is definitely impossible now looking at how things are shaping up, but if we go on a run we might catch Liverpool and Tottenham for 7th place fight.

Highly doubt Liverpool will make top 4 too, and that will be such an embarrassment for the scousers

It's as Arteta said in his interview, it's in everybody else's hands, all we can do is win as many games as possible.
