I would take Nagelsmann. I just wonder what the conversation would be for a guy who did well in the Champions League and is 2 points behind Bayern. We would need to show him long shlong ambition

I still think Arteta will come good. It will cost us as he learns, it is costing us now, player quality may be costing us top 4, but it isn't the only reason we are where we are.

Our next manager will have to depend on what our strategy is on transfers going ahead, if that function lies more with Edu.

Interesting that we haven't heard much about hires in the analytics area.
Leicester have stocked up that area. And they are taking everyone to the cleaners in the market on both purchases and sales. It's the predictive analytics that could be highly valuable in both directions - what could new players do for us and for other teams.

He won't. Nobody really rates him in football because his results with Brighton is very unimpressive. No media hype because hardly anyone watch what Brighton is really doing

Bielsa is having a good first PL season. Bamford with a superb finish to open the scoring.

I saw someone mention that they are officially the worst defending champions of all time at the moment. There's a 33-point difference between their position now and their position after 25 games last season. Not even Leicester suffered that big a drop-off, and they were almost relegated.

Most of it is down to the fact that Liverpool played a virtually perfect season for the first two thirds of 19/20 of course, but it's still funny and really winds up the scousers.

Annoying that Liverpool, Chelsea AND Spurs suck, and we are midtable. 🙁
But I love to see the scousers deal with this. Especially given that they won their shit during the plague

Imagine someone told you back in the summer that we'd be 6 points off Liverpool come March, we'd have geared ourselves up for an incredible season rather than one largely spent in the bottom half 😆

I called this collapse. Called it a season too early because I didn't know how far steroids were developed but it was bloody obvious they would break apart at some point

They are on gear, athletes cycle on a short term bases not 2 seasons on one season off. Even if you go back to the old united sides when doping wasn't as big a thing in football and players were generlly finished at 30-32. Even back then teams couldn't keep going 3 season in a row, they'd have a season or 2 then do a reshuffle and freshen the side up with new players. And that's before caffine was a big thing. People get pretty mch immune to the effects of caffine really fast so it's used less and less in my experiance to have the best effect whn you need it.

Although i do like the fantasy of the Idea that if i just had 5 espressos in the morning it would be a key factor in me being a top premier league player.

Don’t know if it’s necessarily steroids but you push a narrow rotation hard like that for 2 years, you’re going to pay the cost at some point. I just hope they miss champions league.

I was just going to post how well West Ham are doing against City and then De Bruyne puts in a cross like that. Interesting that City's last two league goals came from left footed crosses swung in from the right side. Both headers that you don't usually see that often from open play with them.

West Ham are doing better than us though. You can see they're not paying City half the amount of respect that we were, much more composure in the final third too. Well deserved equaliser.
