What has happened to Gundogan? He's always been good, but never the kind of player he is now.
I've had more time to watch games and he's been the best player in the league for the last couple of months. I can't remember the last game i've watched where he hasn't scored. Man City always on the offensive so he does less midfielding/defending. He's much more agile than usual, taking on risks and working out for him.Â
He’s a very clever player. A couple of steps ahead of the game in his head so he has that extra bit of time to do whatever he wants to do, and gets to the right positions. Coupled with his high technical level, he’s basically a complete central midfielder / attacking mid.
I’m more impressed that City are doing all this without KDB.
