No. My primary issue is exactly what I posted before. I do not want us to commit 40-50m pounds of wages to a 28 year old who will retire and disappear without residual value. I’m going to go blue in the face saying we cannot afford to continue to evaporate funds. We need to build value while buying excellent players as much as possible.
We just let go of Ozil, Sokratis, Mustafi. Same will probably happen with Kola, etc. Willian will retire. We can never reinvest any value into the team. It’s all evaporating. What this means is we need to crank the commercial engine and season ticket prices hard to get the money to buy our next generation of stars. This is highly highly problematic.
