Decent comp. Said enough about Tielemans. I’d love to add him to the midfield. I think people would learn to appreciate him pretty quickly if we signed him up.
The Wishlist 2020/21
Tielemans is a known quantity, would improve us but not to the level needed imo.
If we're not going to sign someone like SMS I'd fully go for youth and sign Musah back. He's a CM these days and looked really impressive the couple times I've seen him centrally. Very reminiscent of Saka and how he's looked capable in every position he's thrown in and he's played pretty much every position bar GK.
Well said jones.
Musah is an interesting shout, he brings a lot of attributes at a high level - including passing, runs out of midfield, and full field coverage.
One concern is that he seems to favor the right center mid position, which Odegaard also does. Any sense of Musah playing on the left channel?
Do we have enough depth in the central striker role? We have Jesus and Eddie - is that enough? Listening to the Arsecast and they were chatting about this. Would be hard to convince a striker to come as second / third choice. We do have Balogun but he should really go out on loan. Maybe a wide player who can play through the middle as well - can Gakpo do that?
If we need a winger Mudryk would be great for us. Would combine well with Zinchenko too

Bowen?

I think Martinelli is that wide player that can play through the middle. It would open up space for Smith Rowe to play wide left - which I think is his best position.
On paper I think it works, but I'm definitely worried that they're all so young and there's no one a bit older and more reliable to fall back on. Pépé is the least reliable of all of them.

Agreed. We've almost backed ourselves into a corner in that it would be hard to not start with any of them as a result of the progress made last season, and how much of the heavy lifting they did over the season.

I think Martinelli is the obvious 3rd choice striker.
Won’t happen but Nkunku would be the dream addition to the attack.
SMS for midfield
SMS is the dream
I could live with Xhaka-SMS-Odegaard midfield

Nkunku as #10 / CAM in a 4231 or free 8 in a 433, or from the flanks in either?
Wonder if we'd have gone for him had we made top4?
Not really wishlist material but I think Cornet would be a good option for the LW spot. Competition for Martinelli and ESR. We probably need to get rid of Pepe and Nelson before we sign anyone else for this position but I think Cornet is low hanging fruit - cheap release clause, proven PL goalscorer, good age.
Yep he’d be a good pick up.
Wonder if Chelsea would part with Pulisic?

Quite injury prone and not clinical enough in front of goal for my liking. Prob would cost more than he should as well.
What happened to the old Bennacer rumours? Could do with him as Party backup.
If we’re after Partey backup go get Cesare Casadei

Pulisic has made zero impact at Chelsea, largely due to being constantly injured. I wouldn't go near him.
Good. CM and winger would be excellent.
