If Xhaka, Lacazette etc leave, then we will have a bit of money for one or two more.

CL qualification would be vital. It would kickstart the squad building.

Aouar train has gone. He's regressed badly. Lyon should have taken what we offered for him.

Fat chance Felix will go for 75m.

DCL will be more like 40-50m. Not that I rate him that high but current market for english players.

He has that South American mentality where he’s ready to die to score a goal, á la Falcao, Cavani, etc. After years of having to endure the timid duo that were Auba and Laca, how refreshing it would be to finally have a proper killer in the box for us.

Nunez looks thouroughly underwhelming anyway.

I think Nunez, on limited viewing, looks like a very promising CF.

Lots to like there, including 20 goals in 20 games, works hard, an ability to create chances for himself, and some legit pace. He'd be able to come deep and then catch up to Saka/ESR/Martinelli. Also looks like he's ready to pack on some pounds to have a great CF physique.

Have to say I agree. I like what little I've seen of Nunez so far. Has a bit of RvP in him whilst also being great in the air. No idea how old he is but if he's young there is a lot of potential to work with.

Don't know anything about him, but not sure if comparing his stats in Portugal to Vlahovic's in Serie A tells us that much.

He's playing Liverpool this week, that will be telling.

Seems to favor the left, and so he'll likely be facing Matip/Konate more so than Van Dijk. I can give players a pass for not going at Van Dijk, but not so much for failing to trouble those other two.

Not seen enough of him to make a real judgment but can’t say he blew me away when we played Benfica last season.

I can give players a pass either way because it's just one game. Wouldn't sign Saka or Ødegaard based on just our Liverpool game either.

Not sure if that's the same one I seen but he's powerful, has a decent touch and one hell of a powerful shot. I like what I seen in one clip.

This was the game that first caught my attention with Nunez. Benfica losing 3-1 at home when he came on, had a mazy run to set up a great assist and then scored a last min clinical finish.

He is still abit raw, but tall, powerful and great shot in him. A lot to work with.

I think he looks super interesting. You can see he loves taking people on and he seems able to create space for himself with his footwork. Think Clrnc (or whoever said it) is spot on about the Cavani comparison once Nunez develops a bit more technically. Cavani went up two levels at Palermo once he sorted his feet out but he had this same drive to him. Go back and watch old clips, it's eerie even without the Uruguay connection. That makes Nunez more interesting than the likes of Vlahovic for me.
