My New Year's Wish List includes a starting CM to replace Xhaka; and a starting CF to replace Laca IF that is the role/type of player Arteta wants for his end state.
As such my picks would be de Jong for the former and Haaland for the latter.

We can reportedly spend 200m this window without impacting FFP, even though FFP is irrelevant as we're not in UEFA comps. My New Year's Wish is that we look to spend in Jan to address the issues at both CF and CM.

Seem closer to being a complete team than we have for years. If the recruitment continues at the level it has recently then we’ll continue to improve. I’ve every confidence it’ll happen too.

Just do everything possible to get de Jong please. It seems impossible but Barcelona are in a terrible state and we somehow got Partey without competition so when the stars are aligned signings like these do happen.

De Jong is the one I want too, but I almsot don't want to pay it any mind because it seems so outlandish. But Barca are a complete mess...

Agreed with this based upon the decisions made last summer in terms of the quality and effectiveness of the players signed. The only caveat I have is that the decision making process is based upon the right decisions regarding the team and style as opposed to not at least asking the right questions re the better/best options.

Based on almost only Youtube I think both Tchouameni and Clrnc's Caqueret look better than Guimaraes.
