He's not going to start ahead of Jota anytime soon if he goes there. Most likely they'll stick him in their reserves or send him out on loan. The latter is possibly what we should have done, but he didn't want to sign a new contract in the summer so he had to stay put instead.
It's a bit shit to lose highly rated talents to opponents but goon is right, we've shown Balogun that he can get opportunities here if he wants to commit to us. If playing time was the heart of the issue he could have extended in the summer and gotten a loan, but he didn't. He has stalled on a new deal for a long time now, probably because he knows he's in a good position to pick a better club than Arsenal.
