Really like the look of him. Always playing with his head up (similar to Wilshere in a sense), great range of passing and solid defensively. If he continues to progress through the rest of the season, would like to give him a chance in the squad as an option for the 6 role, especially as we might be loosing 2 senior players in the summer in that position.

Burnwinter From what I've seen Patino is much more of a CM, whereas Fabio is a pure AM.

est Yeah, makes sense. He seems to have a decent cross-field pass to switch the play, as well as a decent through ball. I've only seen highlights, so work rate, tackling etcetera a bit indeterminate for me. They say he's good but it's hard to tell. Blackpool fans were obsessed with him and some claimed he was their best ever player.

I think Patino could make a case for the role Xhaka departed.

He showed so much promise at an early age but that doesn’t always progress in to first team action. I think he needs to become more dynamic

He seemed to be close to leaving on a permanent deal this summer. I assume that he's inpatient and wants to start/not go on loan anymore. Based on that, I don't think we'll see him here.

QuincyAbeyie We've got Jorginho, Partey and Elneny looking like being on the way out in summer. If he'd accept a backup role with the senior squad there may well be one available.

Clrnc I'd like to think he's finding out how much he can get away with/afford in retaining possession whilst getting it out of his feet, and as he's starting to value what protection his progressively developing physicality offers him. Hopefully the loan allows him to calibrate that aspect.

Good on Arsenal for extending him but I don't think it's long enough on current terms to allow a second loan spell. If it comes to it, I want him in the senior squad next season and I think he can play multiple profiles.

Marquinhos has hardly had a kick at Norwich. I think we could use him if he's recalled in Jan and we're still in FA, league cups.

Burnwinter Probably. My assumption is just based on players opposed to go on loan usually being opposed to be backups as well.

Don’t think Patino is up to it personally, his technical security doesn’t seem quite up to scratch, but that might be harsh.

I think we’ve evolved at the worst possible time for him.

Tend to agree. He needs to be more nimble and able to wriggle his way out of situations with urgency. Right now he has a relaxed fluid style which is good but not suited to the play style we have
