Think Rohit has it right, you can't put a rightfooted player on the left in a game without any possession and ask for miracles going forward. The hustle was real though. Bossed these midgets from the first minute to the last. Mahrez was so humiliated they had to bring him off after 60 minutes despite resting him just for this fixture.

It was on his weaker left foot. He’s a different animal on the right.
Fair enough Klaus didn't pay enough attention with him overall.
He got a right big hug from Mikel. Maybe he can be convinced. Definitely not better than Bellerin on the right though.
Mahrez has twisted so called better fullbacks inside out so impressive from him. Clever to use a right footed player on him because Mahrez is always looking to cut in which would be on AMN's stronger side.

Far better than Bellerin in any position.
He also did a job keeping Traore quiet when he came on for Tierney v Wolves.
Great.
Would love if this kid got whipped into shape, he offers such opportunity for tactical flexibility. I just have no faith in him as a person. He's a bit childlike, and dumb as a bag of rocks. Obviously, I don't know him one bit and I'm probably just chatting shit, but that's my feeling.

It says a lot about you that the manager throws you on for the hardest defensive assignments in the league. And you deliver. Too often the focus on fullbacks is on their attacking prowess and many of them can’t stop an attacker. AMN stopped 2 really tough men with different skill sets. We haven’t regularly seen someone give us that post-Sagna. Would be massive if he could keep growing at Arsenal
Indeed. Was given a massive job and did it well, in his first-team breakthrough LB position.
Reminds me of when Mourinho play Paulo Ferreira out of position on the left to do a job on Messi in 2005. It really works to defend a cutting in winger perfectly.
Mahrez was in his pocket all day long

That made me cry. So beautiful. Why would a guy like Douzi opt out of this?
Massive performance from him and he took the opportunity well. Could definitely be on of the best FBs/WBs in the league with right attitude. I'm sure Luiz was telling him to stay and say this is what you will miss out on if you take the easier option to leave.
Made his dad proud.
Gotta say that's not the interaction you'd expect of a player who thinks the manager has no faith in him, or a manager with no faith in the player.
His passing and decision making still needs to improve though. As well as his concentration. Quite a few loose passes and crosses yesterday, and a couple of brain farts that might have been costly on another day, but since we weren’t actually playing for possession it didn’t look too bad. Honestly don’t see him becoming anything other than a squad player.
Great game. Fine by me if he still wants to leave. His price tag for potential buyers would have gone up a notch which is perfect for us.
Flo, who would you keep?
Easier to tell you who I’d sell (if possible):
Ready?
Ozil, Guendouzi, Luiz, Mus, Maitland-Niles, Kola, Xhaka.
And one of Auba/ Laca.
Hate me now.
