Hope it’s another defensive flip for Pep. You see Pep struggle within his system and then make ludicrous adjustments in the champions league that always neuter his team and backfire. Klopp, on the other hand, is able to take his basic Liverpool template, start with a high pressing team, move to a team that doesn’t press as much, evolve to one that alternates between pressing and non-pressing football. Now he’s brought in Thiago to solve the counter press teams so he can dictate the middle. He just seems a better problem solver than the more dogmatic Pep.
