It never worked out for him at Roma thanks to being played out of position and injuries.

Therefore, Roma are selling him for a huge loss compared to what they paid for him (₁₅ million).

Leipzig wanted to sign him permanently after his impressive loan spell but could not manage to reach an agreement with regards to the transfer fee.

Newcastle have signed three players in the gap of a day - Jamal Lewis from Norwich, Ryan Fraser (on a free) and Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.

Sheffield United have also signed three players in day - Max Lowe and Jayden Bogle from Derby County and Ethan Ampadu on loan from Chelsea.

You can see it from their side, in their eyes we "stole cesc" and sold him back for 30Million. Part of that deal was we got bellerin. Now this makes the inital "stealing" to the value of 50M. While we see them as the bad guys in reality they end up with on the raw side of these deals. . . Song, Hleb, cesc, sanchez , bellerin. They'be been butt hurt each time.

I'll always have a soft spot for barca for stealing Ronaldinho just before ManU completed the deal in 2003. The absolute horror of a keane, scholes ronaldihno midfield it'd be increadible with 3 of Giggs/ RVN/ Rooney, Tevez, ronaldo front line. And not being able to enjoy Ronaldinho, Fook noooo, thank you kindly.

They publicly tapped up Cesc for a year ensuring there was no market for him. And didn't get any warning from Uefa. I hope Sevilla, Atletico and Valencia jump ahead of them this season

Everton might just be in that phase when Robinho was arriving at Manchester City and saying "I thought I'd signed for United". And then City started signing Aguero and others and it rained trophies.
