Seems like a Suarez at Liverpool's kind of situation with Messi. Apparently he'll stay because he'd have to go to court if he wanted to leave, so even if he's in the right it won't happen this season.

Messi has come out and said he wants to leave but doesn't want to take the club to court to force his way out so will stay.

Has also said the management of the club under Bartomeu is a disaster and there is no project. They just plug holes when things happen.

Pretty much got Ziyech and Havertz for Hazard which is quite ok. I think its 80 million euros without add ons though?

I'm surprised he even wanted to go to Chelsea so Arsenal would've been a stretch. Ziyech and Werner are good signings though, even though CHO should've probably be prioritized over Ziyech if they want to develop him.

It’s fine. I’m actually not super worried about what chelsea and United have done. I think they’re signing good players but they’re doing it wrong. Chelsea have lots of good attacking half players and now they are going to shoe horn half a new attack in one summer. Meanwhile the rear half still looks off.

United meanwhile got a superb midfielder in vd Beek but he’s the wrong mid for Pogba/Bruno. Maybe they should’ve taken the Spurs signing Hojbjerg even or a DLP like we are chasing. The balance is off.

There comes a point where the difference between the quality of players of clubs is pretty close.

We have a gap to close but really it’s about how they are motivated and deployed. Advantage us

I think if sort our midfield, we have nothing to fear. It is going to be really tough to get that quality midfield for this season though.
