I am thinking of moving my money in Nketiah to purchase Alphonso Davies. His value has quadrupled (400%) this season but I've not seen him in action to make a judgment. Aside from a few snippets of his marauding runs.

I bought Nketiah as he's English and he's likely to be in the papers quite a lot but he's my worst performing investment.

My current aim is to concentrate my portfolio, or to increase funds and allocate 90% to no more than 10 players.

Sounds like bitcoin. So this isn’t tied to intrinsic value, just overall demand of the particular asset. So Who is everyone else buying? Players who are delivering today or that they expect will deliver tomorrow?

Exactly, the value of the asset is determined by supply and demand. You could say the intrinsic value of a player is current ability x potential. The most valuable players on the platform are Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes and Kylian Mbappe which shows that there is a tilt towards growth. It also shows the inefficiency of the market place where the English centric user base prop up domestic products, and how hype can lead to someone like Fernandes absolutely sky rocketing up the hierarchy. I've been quietly buying up more and more shares in Mbappe as it's clear he is relatively undervalued.

The market place is incredibly young and there are so many pockets of value to exploit. I was reading through a forum where a Ligue 1 expert has carved out a niche for himself where he was solely buying up burgeoning French talents. The last time I saw his portfolio he was up a few fold. Considering the UK only user base, any kind of European knowledge is going to give you an edge over the market.

Ultimately, there is so much money flowing into the market, a blind monkey could select a winning portfolio.

Okay, so it sounds like go in and buy up anyone who will transfer to England in the next 12 months or will at least grow in profile. So even someone as well known as a Werner will be a good buy. This could actually be fun. It's a bit like investing in the stock market with a lot of irrational traders

Yeah, but it also pays to buy the English hype jobs. Jude Bellingham for example is already trading at a 'premium'.

There was also share split in Neymar last year as the value of a single share reached £20.

I have just put Nketiah on sale. Currently have £10 tied up in him. Want to cut my losses and rotate the money into Davies or purchase additional shares in Haaland.

Currently Sancho and Haaland are the guys to buy. The former is trading over £13 whilst Gnabry is around £4, to offer some perspective.

I have finalised my top 10 holdings with a clear tilt towards the holy trinity of Mbappe, Sancho and Haaland. They represent the ideal FI footballer combining incredible matchday performances with uncapped future potential, as well as persistent media involvement due to transfer speculation. My top 10 holdings are as follows;

Mbappe - 15%
Sancho - 15%
Haaland - 10%
Rashford - 5%
Sterling - 3%
Sane - 3%
Asensio - 3%
Fernandes - 2%
Werner - 2%
Davies - 2%

I increased my holdings in Asensio yesterday. A few years ago he would have been one of my first picks, but his ACL injury has derailed him so who knows if he will ever deliver on his potential. Nevertheless, he is back in contention and the market was buoyed by his return. So I bought into the upward trend.

In other news, I have put Mane on sale. His value has decreased since I bought him and it's becoming apparent growth is the outperforming factor on the index. Quality as I would describe Mane has not really performed well in terms of share price. My first sale ever was in fact Lionel Messi.

I am also wondering whether I should reduce my holdings in Alphonso Davies. I bought his shares in the past week, but I am concerned at having such a significant holding in a fullback. My gut tells me he will settle down in the next couple years and won't be as marauding and eye catching as he has been this season. I will watch this one closely.

Finally bought two crocks, Kingsley Coman and Ousmane Dembele. Their cheap share price and potential upside led to the decision. They only represent 1% of my portfolio so they're not going to have much of an impact.

Dividends can be paid out for match day performance, media speculation or in play.

Dividends are just one way to profit. The other is capital appreciation.

It's rather annoying that I was too risk averse at the start, creating a portfolio of over 50 players. I'm now concentrating as much as possible.

I feel like the concept seemed more long-term than betting so makes sense to have more money than in your usual betting account at least. If you're betting £10 a week with ordinary betting, you'd here insert more initially and then move it around and not spend more than that.
