In other news, the US just surpassed Italy in the mortality statistics with 20500 dead. 1700 of those deaths in the last 24 hours alone, and as we already know the numbers are massively underreported over there. It makes your heart and head ache at the same time. It begs belief how anyone could have been so incredibly bad at implementing proactive measures like social distancing after watching the rest of the world struggling with outbreaks for three full months.
