Was listening to Arseblog. James mentioned youth players might only be able to sign short contracts re Saka.

Looked this up. Basically, 17 year olds can sign a 3 year contract and 18 year olds can sign a year deal. Saka is 3 months short of 19. So he started heating up a tear after they’d done his deal. So not a massive surprise they were caught by surprise here. But a warning that they need to act quick in future.

It's pretty simple. A statement saying that Saka will sign is easily proven false if not true.

I like Saka but is it not an indication of how far we have fallen where we are celebrating a contract extension of a kid that has played less than 30 games for us?

He is good but ceiling wise Cesc and Jack were higher imo. Another sign that standards have slipped at Arsenal tbh.

I would be happy but he is no means great and as mentioned certainly nowhere near talents like Cesc and Jack from what I have seen.
