That's the issue alright. Ref made it normal to be so aggressive then the VAR ref picks one to overrule. Lost count of how many arms, elbows to the face our lads have taken. Where was VAR then?

It's about the match Klaus. It was a terrible tackle but the games been allowed to get that aggressive by the ref.

I guess my point was that earlier fouls, called or not called were as bad. Will have to take another look.

I just had a look and noticed it's Paul Tierney who's reffing. He handled the game against Manchester City too a few weeks ago. I thought he let them get away with murder in that one too. He seems to have a tendency to escalate the aggression until something like this happens.
