Not been a great have because like the Everton match we are playing a team in poor form and without a lot of confidence and still not able to make the most of that.

Obviously still with lots of defensive frailty. I think the younger players just looking not at the right level for this game right now, not that I could do any of the more"experienced" players will step up.

It was ok early on but they realised they'd set up wrong and closed the space between the lines, after that we did very little. Similar to a lot of Emery games TBH. I think we lack fitness too, the energy was there at the start but it dropped off a lot, especially with the older players in attack.

I'm definitely more interested to see how we respond and what changes Arteta makes now. Our full backs are struggling a bit today but what are you gonna do there, its inevitably when you have no real fullbacks available.

Attack letting us down more than anything. Can't be relying on clean sheets with the personnel on hand.

Less annoyed by the goal against than the fact we haven't been able to hit a cross or shoot straight.

Agree Qwiss not been a whole lot of difference in performances since Emery's tenure. Let's see how we and Arteta tries to respond to this challenge.

Positives: more energy in our passing and movement. More commitment to pressing the opposition without the ball. Clearer roles for each player. Nelson looking better in the build-up. Torreira generally doing well. Ozil looking more motivated.

Negatives: defending is still bad. Xhaka still takes too long to make his mind up. Decision-making in the final third has poor coupled with a lack of confidence in our shooting.

Lot of work (unsurprisingly) still needs to be done.

He just always looks nervous to me. And when he lost the ball near the end there he looked panicky which is even worse, could have given away a penalty on another day. Up front he really seems to lack confidence though, I think he has a lot more in him but he needs to just go for it more.

Guys, let's be honest, How can we compare this to Emery

Shots - we lead 9:6, although quality is bad, 0:2 on target
Possession - we lead 270:157
Attacking third passes: we lead 69: 41
Territory - we have 51%

This is very different from a typical Emery performance. We are being let down by really wayward crossing and awful shooting.

Yeah think both Ljungberg and Arteta have been more Wengery than Emery. Lack cutting edge where it matters and concede against run of play. Ofcourse nothing to judge Arteta on.

Why do we have so many shots blocked in every game? Pull the trigger quickly FFS.

Our defending isnt good , there's no determination to get the ball when Gosling scored. Doesnt need to be spectacular defending, the basic thing is to assume Luiz wont block the cross and make sure you are in front of the play to get that ball away. Even if Luiz is favourite to block it you cannot take the chance . Our defensive instincts all round are very poor , it will take a lot of coaching or some spending for players with brains.
