I remain pretty confident that our football has significantly changed, that we're making decent moves in the market, and that we have a coach that is evolving along with his squad in a way that is practical, sustainable, and gives us the potential for real improvement over time.
In reality, this is year one. Last year was a ridiculous shambles, not to mention there is a global pandemic and there's been no preseason and the sky is on fire. From here, which is year one of this new setup (sans Raul, etc.), I expect it to take Arsenal another 5 years of stability and improvement to become a major European force again. Unless Arteta and the team collapse, as they did under Emery, we won't really know if that's going to be possible until the end of next season. If after 4 or 5 windows we're still hovering around 5th-8th, then we can say what Arteta's management is all about.
We should've been two up at half time against Leicester. We would have won it, should have won it, and that says to me the manager did alright even if it didn't go our way in the end.
