You can't compare this squad, or recent years, to the Invincibles squad. That was a collection of experienced and tough players who were all at a similar level and had a wide range of experience from other cultures and countries. This squad make up is nothing like that, the younger players are less likely to be as assured and confident in their own game as Lauren would have been in that situation with Henry. Lauren had the mentality and confidence to cope with Henry's attitude, Reyes didn't. Had Reyes been a few years older it may have been different.
Sanchez was a nightmare for passive aggressive behaviour on the pitch if things weren't going his way or through him. Yes, it was because it was a winner, but there was little helpful or constructive about his behaviour off the ball, and I'm sure that could absolutely negatively affect those around him. Would that have been the same in the Invincibles? Probably not.
I would imagine the likes of Aubameyang, Xhaka or Ozil could be intimidating figures if they showed displeasure with you on the pitch. I reckon Round means they are trying to avoid that happening and push younger players towards adopting a more focused and productive approach.
