Feels like that summer we brought in Sokratis and Litchsteiner. Would be a really odd policy after we got rid of the likes of Mkhi to make space for youth.

Hopefully it's all talk, though Boateng on loan wouldn't be so bad.

I never mind loan signings unless it's absolutely clear he won't contribute positively, and that's obviously not the case here. As long as the squad isn't burned with another old player on his way down, why not.

The worry for boateng is that Mustafi always finds a way to get games. Hes chosen by the football gods for comedy entertainment. He gets luiz sent off now holdings fit so he starts with holding next week. I'd imagine something awful will happen boateng like holdings ACL or bellers ACL when Mustafi wanted to play RB.

We are heavily linked with Matviyenko. City has been targeting him for awhile and he has been impressive in the UCL for Shatkhar. Equally adept at LB or CB.

I know nothing about him, but he does look good on Youtube. Although, I always look at the height pretty quickly when I'm looking up a CB we're linked to, and I see he's only 5'11. Got to be real good to cut it in the Premier League at that height.

1.82 is a little bit on the smaller side maybe but it's a decent-ish height for a centreback. I think Kos was 1.85, Ramos is 1.84. One or two centimeters is not going to make a massive difference.

If you've got a good leap and timing you'll be fine. Canavaro was 5'9" and seen him dominate Drogba in the air, same with Roberto Ayala, great in the air. Quick google says he is 1.82m, Martin Keown was 1.85m and he was fine. Like Klaus says Ramos is 1.84m and pretty good in the air.

Better to be springy than tall, let's you react better and make the best of more situations. I feel taller players are only valuable when it's obvious a cross is coming in.
