Liverpool close to sealing the deal for Minamino for 7.5m.

One of the most young impressive forwards in europe for peanuts. Their transfer team really is swift. So smart deal again.

Haaland talking to Dortmund after they want to activate his 20m euros release clause,  Hwang Heechan talking to Wolves in 15m deal. Basically entire Salzburg front line decimated.

I like Hee-chan! He reminds me a bit of Arshavin for some reason.

That's boring. The most expensive Norwegian player ever is 19m, thought the release clause rumor was bs and that he'd obliterate that record.

He's better than Son at the same age. Tons of composure in front of goal.

He and Minamino is every pressing football manager's dream

Wonder if we were ever interested in Minamino or Chan. Imagine selling Lacazette and signing both with money to spare.

Never heard of either before today. Shrugs.

He’s no Martinelli.

I only watch Salzburg in the CL, but Minamino is turning 25 in January. Surely he can't be one of the biggest forward talents in Europe?

Yeah he's not exactly young.

5 days later

Haaland talking to 4 clubs who activated his 20m release clause. United, Juve, Leipzig and Dortmund.

Ibra close to joining Everton. That would be proper crazy

Saw a report on the BBC that MU are talking of making a 76m bid for him in Jan along with loaning him back to Salzburg for the remainder of the season = they'd not be doing so if the reduced release clasue was legit or open to anyone.

I had seen an earlier article that suggested the reduced release clause only applied to RBL being part of the RB group.

Can’t the other clubs sue for that? That feels like anti-competitive behavior.

Why would they even need one with the same owner?

Not sure as BL players have limited release clauses that only apply outside the BL.

TBH if he was to move elsewhere and not to RBL then he'd have rocks in his head as I doubt any other top flight CL club would make him their starting CF at age 19.

I think part of it is to ensure that any club is rewarded for their work in finding and developing players.

Either way I doubt anyone can sue over something like that in football. Didn't liverpool have a release clause for Firminho that explicitly excluded Arsenal?

For £7m he doesn't have to be, another astute squad option for them. Klopp has a good record at elevating players so don't be surprised if he does turn out a top player.

Basically he just buy whatever players Red Bull produces for their club as Ragnick's youth setup meant all their players are good at pressing.

This is like the 5th player they bought that is produced by Ragnick after Mane, Keita, Firmino, Matip. Basically it just needs to fit Klopp's philosophy.

We can't even find a philosophy yet.
