It's not about cash flow it's about value. Arsenal is worth a fortune. Could it be worth more? Sure. But so could everything.
This is true, but we don't know how much of their plans depended on the ESL. How would that affect our value? What is the likelihood of it being revived? It's difficult to confidently predict anything without this knowledge.
I think they'll feel fairly similarly and that they're convinced we're on the right track, but you're right - it's impossible to predict. I expect we'll continue to see marquee signings like Pepe and Partey, without necessarily going all out Abramovich-style. We'll also continue to rely heavily on the academy and invest in that infrastructure. We'll rotate through coaching and management staff once the Arteta project is finished (for better or for worse), and the value of the club will continue to increase. Maybe we'll sell better, which coupled with the end of the pandemic should help to solve cash-flow issues.
At some point, one of these years, we'll be back in the CL.
