Everyone is different of course and has their own reasons for watching. I watch because Arsenal is Arsenal and I have the supporters disease. Messi is a wonderful player but I don't watch Barcelona. La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga all have some great football with great players, but I barely watch any of it. But if Fulham is playing Crystal Palace at a decent time I will probably watch because I'm invested in the Premier League.
Others have completely the opposite motivation.
Perhaps though the motivation I've described above is what goon is getting at.
My motivations won't help the Super League guys though either - they're after the ones who just like to watch the big name players.
