We're linked with a move for 17 year old Reinier Wolfcastle Jesus. Monster talent, supposedly:

Sidenote, but it appears that we've gotten a lot of goodwill lately in Brazil, partly due to Edu's involvement in the club, partly because of the way Martinelli has been coming along. I doubt it hurts our chances of landing more good talents.

Been linked with every top club in Europe for a minute now. Definitely wouldn't mind for 30m, very good physicality for a 17 year old already

the jesus chants when we play city would be banteriffic

Never heard of him before but sounds fantastic.

Yeah, he's one of the biggest talents in Brazil right now. Real was linked to earlier to him this year to pay his 70m euro release clause, 😆.

Apparently, his contract was running out so Flamengo gave him a 35m euro release clause to have him re-sign. Their fans are saying that the money has to be paid all up front.

Lol. Why? Is it their money?

They say Flamengo would rather have the money immediately rather than paid in installments to allow them to reinvest it faster. They are already getting installments from Milan in the Lucas Paqueta transfer.

He looks a bit slow and immobile.

Reindeer Jesus would probably be a Christmas signing.

He's nothing like Immobile.

they'll get paid in installments and they'll reinvest and pay for those players in installments. those fans don't know a damn thing.

And if they needed a lump sum of cash, they could easily go to any bank and borrow against the payment agreement. No idea why this is such a big thing in the imagination of some fans.

it's all about making arsenal look skint to stupid people. barca paid us in installments, we paid them in installments, we paid real madrid in installments. but when it's about arsenal in 2019 it's "OMG installments, they have no money."

Then there is the option with one of our deals in the summer whereby a broker is used to pay the selling club the bulk of the fee up front and we pay the broker at the agreed instalment rate.

Would be great news. Looks the part, seems to always make the right decision and great physicality for a 17 year old

Yep. Jorge Jesus rates this kid highly and that's enough for me. Would be amazing if we could pull off another Martinelli here.
