I don’t even think it has anything to do with game time. Wenger publicly said we are desperate to keep him and recently said we already had an agreement until Bayern swooped in.
The thing is, at that point of time when he impressed in Olympics then we wanted to keep him and offered him a new deal. It was too late. Gnabry said it many times he waited over the years when he was injured/flop at loan and we didn't show him any faith or interests. That period was well past.
Anyway Iwobi was from a different era, he didn't take game time away but the talentless Ox certainly did.
Definitely. Still think Campbell could've carved out a decent career at the level if it weren't for the Little Mix prick too
Think I saw Gnabry the first time in a U-15 national team game. I remember distinctly struggling to compute what I was watching, he wasn't the greatest talent I've seen but his ability to score with either foot from 25+ yards while way off balance was something I couldn't make heads or tails of, that's not a quality that would decrease because of better or more physical opposition. I was over the moon when he joined
Ten years later and that very quality gets fucking Bayern into a CL final. Whoever writes these CL scripts can go fuck themselves
