3-1 hahaah.

Fuck off Pep.

Such poor goalkeeping

i'm confused. why didn't he catch it? 😆

😆 😆 😆

Ederson of all games have to fumble here

That goal had Arsenal’s past and future all over it.

I actually feel for Sterling, he’s going to feel this one. It was a perfect ball to him too.

I still can't believe Sterling missed that. Like HOW?!

This is a weekend from the gods. Barca smashed. This arrogant tit Pep and his billion pound team beaten 😆

I'm honestly a bit surprised at how shit some of the City players are. Rodri and Laporte are awful players.

Peps pitchside sweaters have gotten worse over the years

fuckers got off easy. should've played bayern

That hobo aesthetic costs more than my entire closet.

Lyon vs Leipzig final please?

Truthfully I don’t think they are shit, they are in general painfully slow at times, especially when rushed.

Lyon were like a physical, quick team you see on a 5 a side pitch, and that was enough to put City away.

There are lots to like about City, but I would be building a midfield completely different to what they have. Pace and power with technical ability. At the back as well. They were just picked off on the counter by players who just rushed them.

If I was Pep, Partey and Upamecano would be top of my list, and Kyle Walker would be put out along with Ederson.

Laughable performance from those two. Rodri as well would have just next to prove himself.

Can't think of a bigger bottle job than Sterling right then

That's another thing. They don't even remotely fit into "pep football". Terribly slow both on and off the ball. Rodri always takes at least one unnecessary touch before releasing the ball. Shocking how much money they've wasted in the last few years.

Pep is clueless tactically. Anyone remember when he tried to man mark Messi, Neymar and Suarez and got thumped? He tries these weird tactics but it’s always atrocious.

Hes good at coaching really good players playing a certain type of football. Barca were so good he didn’t really have to think about tactics.

All things considered he is absolutely underachieving with the talent at his disposal

Ffs didn't realize there was a match today. Seems like an entertaining one as well. I'm guessing Aouar's price goes up for every round Lyon gets through.

It only goes up if that idiot Pep (or Barca/Juve) appears. It’s rumoured to be €45m. The sooner we execute, the better.

Not necessarily. Lyon reportedly wanted to cash in, but by reaching the CL semis they’ve probably eased financial stress and will be less desperate to sell.

And it’s Aulas we are talking about here, nothing is ever easy.

Pep making unnecessary changes going into a CL match shocker...

What a doofus. Lyon did well enough but that was serious self-sabotage from City.

Aouar really is excellent, though.

What a miss by Sterling. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer cunt, mind.

I'm so used to all matches bar the final being two legged affairs that I've barely paid attention to the gravity of the scores thinking they can be overturned on the second leg!

Massive result this one, how long will Pep be allowed to stay?

He’s safe, unless he wants to leave. They’ll spend money to revamp the midfield and defence.

There aren’t many other available managers in top flight football.

I hope he stay they've looked flat all season under him. A top club like Madrid barca or bayern would shift him on. City will mostly likely hold on too long.

£700m gross is what Pep has spent Since arriving in Manchester. Chew on that. After last night, they’ll probably go gorillas with the spending.

The thing about Champions League is that I don't think there's an amount of spending that can make winning the tournament the most probable outcome of the season. No matter how much they spend they won't get a considerably better team than clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern. PSG have learnt this the hard way.

Right now their magic is concentrated mostly in De Bruyne. Stop him, and you’ve stopped City. They will invest in the forward Line and in the David Silva / 10 position to give themselves more attacking verve. I don’t think Pep will or can do anything to improve them defensively.

He’s an attacking system zealot like Wenger. I think there are diminishing returns on player acquisitions, Ie you need to spend enough to be able to have a team that can keep up with City and Pool, but every big player acquired thereafter only helps you yield one or two points. But that won’t stop the owners from wanting to spend. I think they’ll want to make a statement to appease the fans.

City fans never talk financial nonsense like you lot. They talk stars. They all want a new left back even though Angelino has been doing great for Leipzig and Eindhoven, and the incumbents are good. I think Jesus will be most at risk. So expect them to go after the best strikers in Europe: Martinez, Isak etc.

I think that's unfair to Wenger Claude. At their best Wenger's teams played attacking football that would have bewildered Pep and his exhausting sideways passing. He's always been a boring arse, even at Barcelona where he had 4-5 generational players and got everything he pointed at. Look how much better Bayern are after they exorcised his grinding possession football.

I have been looking at Pep’s record and Spain’s record and wondering how he will eventually be judged when it’s all over and people have distance. His biggest fans will never want to hear a single bad word said of him but it’s clear that coming into Spain’s best crop of talent + Messi really helped make him. And his dogmatic approach since has been problematic. Even Mourinho developed as manager (into a negative sourpuss mostly) but Pep has hardly evolved despite beatings at the hands of Madrid.

Pep's Barca was a joy to watch in my opinion. The only boring thing about them would've been how they dominated absolutely everyone.

Their 09 team is still probably my favorite team to watch. What they did to United in that final - it was only 2-0, but they made United look like absolute amateurs. It was as big a gap as the 8-2 this weekend and that United team was one of the best Premier League teams we have seen
