I don’t really want to dwell on the past but two points. Firstly, the statement, his lying and revisionism, that celebration when he scored against us after initially refusing to celebrate, it dispels the theory that it’s just his job and that loyalty and fan sentiment doesn’t matter to players. It clearly bothers him.
Second point, I’ll never understand fans looking at what’s right for the player when deciding whether or not he deserves hate or criticism. What’s in their interests isn’t in mine, I don’t care if he got a PL medal out of it, he’s still a wanker for the reasons Jed summarised perfectly. He chose to burn that bridge by joining United.
