Not an exhaustive list by any means, I have probably forgotten lots, but these players stick out in my mind as good players. A few did their best work in the late '90s, but were still great for at least a couple of seasons in the '00s. I think a similar list of this decade's best players would pale in comparison.

In my opinion, the '00s team is better in every single position, and by a huge distance in all but one or two.
