This Liverpool team is special. The resilience this team has had to keep coming back to win games or just completely put away opponents Is remarkable. One loss and one draw so late in the season is unheard of. And they have some incredible players in their front 3, DM and defense.
I will refrain from waxing lyrical about Liverpool but now that the run has ended in a comprehensive manner at the hands of relegation battlers Watford, I would definitely like to thank them for reminding the entire Arsenal fanbase, if not the football world and if it has been forgotten by chance, what a great team we were back then. Our run was ended by the team that eventually won the League that season in what was essentially a screwjob. Who knows what we could have extended that to. Chelsea themselves just lost one game the season our streak ended but it wasn't an unbeaten season.
It's just so hard and we had very little depth then and as much football was played. This is a great Sunday, I feels good. Hopefully don't have to feel this nervousness for a few seasons now while we climb our way up and we will. We are Arsenal and football has its cycles. This will be Liverpool's first title in 30 years. They got it right for once in 30 attempts. Well done to them. Arsenal since its first title in the 30s have won a title at least in every decade bar the 60s and 2010s.
We will get it right again.
